Man stuns with 'impressive' grocery bag hack: 'This is incredible'
A clever shopper has shocked onlookers with his "impressive" hack to get groceries home while riding a scooter.
"If you don't have a car, it works well," the man told a couple through the open window of their car as they filmed the ordeal.
In the four minute clip, the customer can be seen unloading his trolley of shopping – including a whole watermelon – onto a wet car parking space outside the Walmart store in the US. In front of him sits an electric scooter from hire company Lime.
"Dude is trying to do groceries on a scooter," the man recording says. "There's no way.."
"I don't know how it's possible," the woman adds.
After returning the trolley, the shopper runs back to his car parking bay where he puts on a belt and attaches a series of carabiner clips to it. He then proceeds to pull out a safety vest with zip ties and hooks on more carabiners.
At this point, the man lowers his window and offers to help.
"Nah, I’ve got it man," he replies. When the driver suggests that he's done it before, the customer adds, "yeh every week".
While the man begins to attach his shopping bags to the carabineers, the couple can still be heard laughing inside the car.
"He's legit got a watermelon," the motorist said. "I just cannot wait to see what he does with this watermelon."
"I’ve never thought of a technique like this but it looks pretty good," the woman adds. "I mean he's working it," the man replies.
Suddenly the man with the scooters realises that he's been filmed and smiles at the camera.
"I’m just impressed dude… this is incredible," the car driver tells him. "You’re paving the way for people without a car right here."
After asking for help to get the final bags on his back, the man bends down to pick up the last of his bags before pulling out a baby carrier.
"He must have children, he knows what he's doing," the woman remarks while the man fixes the watermelon to his chest in place of a baby.
"He is legit," the driver replies.
