This restaurant in Parma provides an experience that's both fun and delicious

The other day, I was hungry after a morning of churning out content. Since I was in Parma, I decided to get lunch at Watami Revolving Sushi Bar, which is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant.

Soon after I walked into Watami, I was seated. I resisted the urge to lick my lips as I looked at the plates of sushi on the conveyor belt. It was so tempting to pick up every plate from the belt, but as Watami charges by the plate, I fought against the temptation.

However, I did pick up quite a number of plates, though I was dining by myself (as usual). For every 15 plates you consume, Watami gives you a free token for the restaurant's toy vending machine, so naturally, I had to consume 15 plates, never mind the ensuing damage to my wallet and waistline.

However, I don't have any regrets. Not only was it a lot of fun to grab stuff (almost) willy-nilly from the belt, but the stuff I grabbed was also delicious. I picked up some tamago (egg omelet) nigiri, which was delightfully sweet, and I ended up grabbing a few plates of it.

I also got a spicy tuna roll, gyoza, spring rolls, and fried shumai, all of which were tasty. I also grabbed some salmon nigiri and, of course, red tuna nigiri, which is one of my favorites.

I also grabbed plates of some specialty rolls like the Lady Gaga roll (which had crab meat, shrimp tempura, cream cheese, avocado, and eel sauce), tuna amazing roll (which was filled with spicy tuna and avocado, and was topped with peppered tuna and sauce), and rainbow roll.

And as if all of the sushi rice wasn't enough carbs and calories, I got a Thai iced tea, which had a fun presentation. It was in a tall glass, came topped with whipped cream and a cherry, and came with a crazy straw. It was sweet and delightful, and worth the additional carbs and calories.

Before tax, my bill came out to be $53.55, which relatively wasn't bad, considering how much sushi I ate and each piece of sushi I had was fresh. Also, I got my free toy.

Alas, the toy was some strawberry toy instead of the Pikachu figurine I had my eye on, but hey, that just means I have to go to Watami again and get myself another 15 plates of sushi.
